Whether it is March Madness or the Super Bowl, food and sports go together like no other, and on these days you can convince people that aren’t into sports to come out and join in on the fun. Here is a chili recipe you should definitely try out for your next sporting event.
This chili takes about 2 ½ hours to prepare, so make sure you get your March Madness betting or Super bowl wagering in before you get started because you need to pay attention while it’s cooking. It’s a large recipe which requires oil, onions, garlic, beef, cubed sirloin, tomatoes, beer, coffee, tomato paste, beef broth, brown sugar, cocoa and chili powder, cumin seeds, oregano, cayenne pepper, coriander, salt and kidney beans, along with hot chile peppers.
You heat the oil on medium heat, and then put in the onions, garlic, ground beef and cubed sirloin for about 10 minutes or until the meat is browned. Then you mix in the tomatoes (diced), beer, tomato paste and beef broth. Then you season the rest of it with brown sugar, chili powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt and coriander. Finally, add in beans and hot chile peppers, and simmer for about 90 minutes; then throw in the rest of the beans and simmer for 30 more minutes.
By the end of the process, you should have a chili that goes with any sporting event, but you especially need a good chili for the Super Bowl; if this comes out right, it could spark your sports betting picks.
