Ok, Super Bowl XLIII is here and you have your Super Bowl betting plans all set. You’ve placed a wager on the money line, you’ve taken a stand on the Steelers-Cardinals spread and you have picked a side of the total. But, what about some Super Bowl party games?
Most people get together at parties to watch the Super Bowl and you’re no exception. But, what kind of Super Bowl games have you got planned? Here’s a few to get the crowd going.
Drinking Game: Designate something during the Super Bowl XLIII broadcast to key on for shots. In other words, every time this occurrence happens during the game, everyone takes a drink. We all know how it’s done. We suggest drinking every time John Madden uses the tele-strator to go over a play, or whenever Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is shown on camera smiling or pumping his fist.
Squares Contest: Get a piece of paper and make a grid. Get everyone to contribute a few bucks to a pot. Then fill in numbers zero-to-nine throughout the top and side squares. Have people put their initials in the rest of the squares. Whenever a quarter comes to a close, whatever the end number in the score for each team is, correlates to a square on your grid. There are four winners during the night and the fourth quarter winner can take home half the pot.
Game Leaders: The last game we’ll recommend is another small betting game. You put together a list of questions for various categories. Who will have the most rushing yards, passing yards, receiving yards, touchdowns, field goals, tackles, sacks…etc.. And the winner takes the pot home.
Warning: Watch out for cheaters! There are always a couple of knuckleheads who take these games seriously. Although, I suppose it’s not all bad if they cheat at the drinking game. Enjoy the game!
